Most recent iPhones and many Android phones support eSIM. Check your phone on our compatibility page before you buy.
A quick way to check
- iPhone: go to Settings > General > About. If you see an EID number, your iPhone supports eSIM.
- Android: on many phones, dialling *#06# shows an EID number. If it does, your phone supports eSIM.
Is your phone unlocked?
Your phone also needs to be unlocked, which means it isn't tied to one mobile network. If you bought it on a contract from a network, ask them whether it's unlocked.
